A Love Written in the Light of Provence: A Mas de la Rose Wedding

There is a distinct magic to the very first wedding of the season. The air carries a fresh, expectant energy, the landscape is waking up in vibrant shades of green, and for me, returning to Le Mas de la Rose feels like stepping back into my unofficial second home. Nested in the heart of the golden French countryside, this stunning estate remains one of my absolute favorite backdrops for authentic, emotional wedding photography in Provence.

Holly and Ryan kicked off the season in a way that can only be described as effortlessly elegant and deeply soulful. Here is a glimpse into their breathtaking day.

An Elegant Ceremony Under the Garden Tree

The heart of the day unfolded beneath the sprawling branches of Le Mas de la Rose’s iconic garden tree, beautifully wrapped in delicate white roses by Hanaya Fleurs. Guests gathered in the dappled shade as the brilliant Lucy Till stepped up to officiate.

With her signature blend of warmth and elegant British humor, Lucy delivered a ceremony that had everyone alternating between wiping away happy tears and laughing out loud.

The Moments That Made My Heart Melt

As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for those fleeting, unscripted moments that hold the true spirit of the day. Honestly, it is nearly impossible to squeeze a day as rich as this one into just a handful of photos, but two distinct details will stay with me forever:

The Flower Nannies: My absolute favorite moment of the ceremony was watching the sweet flower nannies joyfully opening the path down the aisle for our gorgeous bride, setting a tone of pure magic before Holly even made her entrance.

Three Generations Woven Into One Day: The detail that truly made my heart melt belonged to Holly’s bridal style. For the ceremony, she looked breathtaking in her Evie Young Bridal gown. But for the party? Holly had her mother’s original wedding dress shortened into a chic, modern party gown. She paired this beautiful tribute with her grandmother’s ring alongside her own engagement ring. Standing there, she wore the love and history of three generations of women.

Dance Floor Magic & Golden Memories

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the Provence sky in hues of amber and dusty rose, the celebration shifted gears. The incredible Singing Waiters France and Say I Do In France got the crowd singing along, while a stunning performance by harpist Nora Lamoureux added a touch of classic romance.

When it was time to dance, Wildfire DJs took over, turning the historic stone courtyard into an absolute party under the stars.
